The Man Behind the Restoration
Anthony has had a lifelong passion for historic cars, owning and restoring a number of notable classics over the years. Among them was Jaguar E-type chassis number 13, which remained in his care for 26 years, just one example of a long-standing enthusiasm for Jaguar engineering and design.
Originally from Whitley Bay in the North East, he now lives in Suffolk, where that passion continues. When not in the garage, he writes a monthly column for the Jaguar Drivers’ Club, sharing his knowledge and appreciation of the Mk VII, VIII and IX saloons.
Henry was taken on as a retirement project - though, as with many such “retirement projects,” it quickly became something far more involved. Combining decades of experience with patience (and no small amount of determination), the restoration reflects both a deep respect for the car’s history and a genuine enjoyment of the process.
